Please take a look at the video lessons on The Scientific Way of Thinking to understand how VERA supports scientific modeling.

COVID-19 Moderate Social Distancing

Using the dataset provided by Johns Hopkins University, VERA models the spread of COVID-19 and its relationship with moderate social distancing strategy.

The simulation result shows a model of moderate social distancing. In this case, the peak occurs later, does not reach as high, and stretches the pandemic out for a longer period. Such approaches are straining the healthcare capacity.

With VERA, explore two parameters to control the levels of social distancing, interaction probability and adoption/transmission interval, and see for yourself the flattening of the curve.

In order to start exploring this model, you will either need to log in if you already have an account, or sign up for one if you don't have one yet.
